Jo and I had a studio session today with the very lovely Linda Papodopolis, celebrating the release of a new Celebration Report! it seems that us Brit's don't think we have much to celebrate - but we need to take time out of our day to smile about the small things. Now, we're not telling everyone to break into a whooping and clapping fit every time they are in a good mood, but maybe letting ourselves feel good about the bright bits of the day: someone offering to make you a cup of tea, your...

This morning I'm sat in the very lovely SNK studios talking all about internet 'Not Spots' and rural regeneration. Now, business hat aside, the thing that concerns me, is access to Facebook and Twitter! I grew up in very rural area Lincolnshire, and by the time I left home at 18 to move to university, we still didn't even have dial up internet. Dial up - remember that? All those beeps and buzzes that took ten minutes to connect up? Well, ten years too late, that is the internet that is...

So, how clean is your house... really? I'm in the studio this morning talking all about household chores and the changing role of women over the past 50 years. Women are feeling more pressure than ever to perform on all fronts - home, family, relationships, work... so where's the 'me time'? New research has shown that modern women only have an hour to themselves every day - that's only one episode of Hollyoaks and half an hour of Dragons Den in my world! The message of today is that women...

Today I went along to the studio with IMN goddess Brittany and our Radio Relation’s diva Kelly M! We met Dr Pixie (from BBC's Freaky Eaters and Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies) and Raman Sankaran from Simplyhealth in the studio today- and they sure did have a lot to share! Dr Pixie started the day at 8:30am by telling us all about: freaky feet, bad bums and funny flab! So you would understand why I decided skip breakfast! I had to have a lot of self-control not to ask a billion Embarrassing...

I recently spent an incredibly fun afternoon in the Radio Verulam Towers sitting in on the West Herts Drive show with the lovely Danny Smith. I was even allowed to chose the songs that went out, and at one point I was entrusted with pushing a button that played out one of their features, 'Mystery Voice'. I faced the pressure. I pushed the button. The clip played out without a hitch and I had made my first step into the wonderful world of radio production. As for choosing the songs, I do think...

Today I'm sat in the studio talking about a topic that not many poeple what to talk about... STIs. It's been an enlightening experience for all of us sat around listening to the interviews, and the main thing I have learnt today is that you can catch Chlamdyia in your eyes and Gonorrhea in your throat. As well as if you get treated for an STI, a common side effect is Thrush. Double whammy. Main message of the day: Stay safe kids. STIs can get you at any age, any time and as it appears,...

Yesterday I was lucky enough to attend a media briefing by the Office of National Statistics explaining all about their recent National Debate on Well Being and their current research into their National Well Being Report, which is due to be released in July 2012. The whole morning was fascinating (also made better as I was supping orange juice out of a champagne glass) and has revealed some interesting points about the nations well being and happiness as a whole. The national debate between 34...
