The tag line of the session today, given graciously by Mike Dilger of One Show fame, is 'Grey Squirrels are like GI's. They are big bullies, over sexed and over here!'
We are, of course, talking about a new campaign that is being launched today to try and protect and save the furry, bushy tailed critters that are Red Squirrels. One species becomes extinct in the UK every year, and it's about time we did something to preserve our heritage and rolling fields before it's too late!
Personally, I'm...
I've had an interesting morning listening to Ian Brown (an expert in sensory analysis) talk about how to make the perfect cup of tea.....
Personally I like mine with 1 sugar and loads of milk (I've had 3 cups at the studio already) but this scientific study has revealed that the perfect formula includes:
10ml milk
6 minutes cooling time
2 minutes brewing time
200ml of boiling water
and a consumption temperature of 60 degrees.
So next time you make a brew - why not try using these tips to see if...
Now I fancy myself as a bit of a chef, but I'm currently sat with the lovely ladies of Leiths School of Food and Wine and they certainly know a thing or two about soufflés and soups!
Listening to the benefits of going down the more vocational route makes me wish that I had considered this more at an earlier age. Although I love where I am and especially being sat in the studio at the minute, I do wonder if I could have got here a different way?
Bit deep for a Tuesday lunch time.... time to...

‘Generation Rent’ has been the ‘buzz phrase’ on the lips of every one this week as a new Halifax survey revealed an overwhelming wave of pessimism amongst today’s society of renters.
Spot on I’d say… any hopes of a mortgage I ever had are swiftly dashed each time that hefty monthly rent check disappears from my bank account.
With the likes of BBC breakfast, ITV central, 5 live and Newsbeat (to name but a few) I was whipped into a frenzy of the busiest studio session of all time!
Wish I’d been...

With a heat wave sweeping the nation most Brits are thinking the same thing by the end of these warm summer evenings… lets get our BBQ on!
But if there is one thing that springs to mind when lighting those coals it certainly isn’t meat free. Or is it?
After spending the day with celebrity chef Lesley Waters anyone would have been fighting for an invite to one of her epic veggie friendly events as I was!
If you fancy salivating all over your keyboard to the tune of chunky guacamole recipes...
With 125 years in the can (excuse the pun) Coca Cola wanted to celebrate this one in style, and who can blame them?!
It’s down to the daily drinkers like you and me and the fanatics like Daniel Morris’ that the brand have managed to become the second most understood term in the world! Didn't know that did you?!
Having only managed to collect a couple of train tickets in my time I was fascinated by the 22 year old story of how he came to own over 800 collectors bottles just from buying a border...

From Kate’s hair to Will’s proposal I think it’s fair to say the nations obsession with everything Royal Wedding has spiraled out of control.
Despite seeing union jacks every time I blink at the moment and with tacky memorabilia coming out of our ears it is rather endearing the way the nation has embraced the couple.
So you can imagine how excited I was finding myself in the studio with Creative Director of Garrard, the Crown Jewelers for 150 years who designed the heirloom ring that was...
My favourite morning spent in the studio was definitely with Paul de Costa-Greeves. Chocolate Therapist, Restaurateur, Spiritual Healer and as it turns out, stand up comic. I have never enjoyed a studio session as much as my two and a half hours with Paul. My personal highlight was during a link up to BBC Somerset in which he told the presenter that he wanted to get her naked, dipped in chocolate and get her involved in ‘lick your mood’, hairless of course. This was all totally live. The...
This is the second time we've worked with Kriss and he certainly hasn't changed. As expected, Kriss brightened up the studio with his infectious laugh and never-ending smile.
He's so passionate about The Big Tap Challenge and really got us thinking about how much water we waste every day.
He was such a joy to work with; friendly, funny and just generally fantastic. I still can't believe he's in his fifties!
Take a listen to the audio to find out more. It's sure to put a smile on your face!
