Dr Pixie Digs Her Heels Into The State Of The NHS! The Girls Join In Force...Daisy, Britt and Kelly Explain All!

Today I went along to the studio with IMN goddess Brittany and our Radio Relation’s diva Kelly M!
We met Dr Pixie (from BBC's Freaky Eaters and Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies) and Raman Sankaran from Simplyhealth in the studio today- and they sure did have a lot to share!
Dr Pixie started the day at 8:30am by telling us all about: freaky feet, bad bums and funny flab! So you would understand why I decided skip breakfast! I had to have a lot of self-control not to ask a billion Embarrassing Bodies questions, I'm sure 'why do they do it!?' is on everyone’s lips that has ever seen the programme! I steered clear and instead we spoke about all the gross things we had seen on the programme…ewww!!
Before I carry on, I must add that Dr Pixie looked fabulous! She wore a gorgeous black cocktail dress with some of the fiercest heels I have seen!
Anyway moving on...
Dr Pixie was talking to the stations about the NHS. She discussed how we don’t have a bottomless healthcare, so we need to take responsibility. Instead of consulting 'Dr. Google' we should all become better patients, visiting NHS direct or seeing our doctors in the most necessary moments. And that we will after today...
We really enjoyed when she later explained how you should bother your doctor and its funny how, for example, we don’t think twice about bothering a mechanic to fix our car, so we should take the same responsibility when looking after our own health care! (All agreed?)
Dr. Pixie was very charismatic and funny! She told us many ‘glamorous’ (or not so much!) stories! Whether it was from behind the scenes at Embarrassing Bodies (getting undressed with Dr Christian in the back of a lorry!) to Dr Christian's habits in make-up (Shhhhhhhh, I can’t tell you anymore, it’s all top secret!)
Raman was a fab’ spokesperson too! Alongside the interview he was discussing the local angle. He discussed the amount of people who are worried about NHS costs and how people are now looking online to understand their symptoms rather than seeing their GP and how we are now a nation of 'Instant Health Generation'. The new research has revealed that over half of Brits are worried about their ability to look after their and their family’s health over the next five years. Over half believe that the changes to the NHS means that they have longer waiting times to be seen and over four in ten have actually been denied treatment because of the cuts. With longer waiting times, decreasing access to treatment and concern over cost.
So all in all a really successful day with lots of marvelous radio stations having the pleasure to talk to Ramen and Dr Pixie about something that is in the heart of the all communities.
Another success? Me and Brittany completed a rubix cube by about 6%,,, we were so close !
