New research out today has shown that we spent a week of our lives doing it last year, one in six can't be bothered to do it and men would rate themselves as 'amazing' or 'very good' at it... that's right, I'm in the studio talking all about DIY! women are putting their spouses under so much pressure that men are turning into fraudsters and passing off professional work as their own! With the Easter break just round the corner, it offers the perfect opportunity to throw down the remote and pick...

New research out today shows that a staggering 41% of Brits believe people claiming benefits need to help themselves and stop relying on the state. More socking is that 36% of those earning less then £15,000 a year believe the same! Elizabeth Finn Care's Turn2us service commissioned the research to investigate the perception Britain has of people who are in receipt of welfare benefits. 13% of low income earners say they would rather cut back on food than have to claim welfare benefits - this...

We're in studio this morning talking about the reality that Britain could be facing a dire shortage of science, technology, engineering ad maths skills. Nearly half (43%) of businesses already report difficulty recruiting people skilled in this area! A shocking stat that highlights the crisis we may be facing is that almost a quarter (22%) of all 16-19 year olds are functionally innumerate. SAS UK have decided to do something about this shortage and have developed a free software package SAS...

Today marks World Water Day - a reminder to the world that too many people worldwide still live without the basic necessity of clean water. I'm in studio today with Karen Lynch CEO of a unique organisation taking this call to action seriously, Belu Water which has teamed up with WaterAid and pledged to give them 100% of their profits. Belu Water is the UK's fastest growing ethical water brand and just £15 raised from buying Belu can transform a life in some of the world's poorest countries...

The lovely Matt Brash, celebrity vet and animal fanatic, joins us in the studio this morning. He's backing a movement, headed by the Pet Food Manufacturers Association, willing the government to include Pet education in the school curriculum. This has come as research carried out by the organisation found that nine in ten parents of younger children believe that teaching a child how to care for a pet is more important than sex education and money management! 20 animal charities have formed an...

In studio this morning talking with the very lovely Philip Martin Brown who play Grantly Budgen in the BBC series Waterloo Road - who also lives with epilepsy. Philip was diagnosed with epilepsy at 19 and there are approximately 112,000 young people who live with the condition in the UK. Monday marks International Purple Day as purple is the colour used to raise awareness of what is the most common neurological childhood condition in the UK. Today we're in the studio with RBS looking at their brand new Ability to Buy Index. This is the first time that an index as comprehensive as this has been released - and for some areas it's not looking too hopeful. For some, it's actually worse to try and get onto the housing ladder than at the peak of the 2009 recession. It's also taking us on average 35 months to save up those pennies for that 10% mortgage. So, does the future really look that hopeful?

In the studio this morning we've got a real life version of one of the perfectly formed Olympic Athletes in our papers every day right now... Sally Gunnell! And accompanied by Geoff Wightman from Run England, we're finding out why, as a nation we've been inspired to take up sport since London won the bid! So with more and more of us running each year, what's the best way to get involved and how can we all embrace the Olympic spirit in the run up to the event, and beyond? Your local Royal...

I'm in the studio with one of the UK's top Real Estate experts from London South Bank University. Scott King helped compile the month long First Homes report, which has discovered quite a few changes in attitude over the decades. Where marriage used to come first in the 60s, our main ambition now is to buy a house... and we all wanted a garden in the 70s, but now we can't do without a parking space. Getting that first foot on the property ladder is deemed a higher priority than having children...
