Plucking, waxing and bleaching - is it any wonder that over half of women (55%) keep their partners in the dark about their gruelling beauty regime?

Research out today has revealed the true extent to which women would go to in order to keep their pampering peeves behind closed doors. Having a moustache (40%), underarm hair (35%), stubbly legs (23%) or grey hair (12%) are amongst the grooming mishaps that women aim to avoid.

With over half of women (56%) agreeing that looking like a ‘natural beauty’ takes a lot of effort, it’s no surprise that women choose not to divulge their beauty tricks - especially to their other half. But, as women claim that they feel like a new person (61%) and gain confidence (73%) after a pampering regime, should beauty really be hidden from the eye of beholder?
