  News Hooks:

Get ready for the world’s first ever interactive odour experiment – bizarre yes, but it’s being brought to you for your smelling pleasure! Have you ever had one of those days where you’ve opened your sports kit the morning after a big work out only to be met by a less than desirable smell?! Well, imagine that on a larger, real-life scale where that holdall is replaced with a room-sized Perspex box and swap the gym kit for a man performing tasks you’re telling him to do.

An innovative new experiment’s taking place this week where a male model’s festering for four days in full view of the public, performing a series of odour inducing domestic tasks! Research shows dirty nappies come top in the smell Brits most fear (81%), beating smelly socks (76%) and wet dogs (61%) into second and third - so naturally the model is being asked to perform some dog cleaning early on, as well as egg preparation and a lad’s night in with a potent Chinese takeaway. And you get to be involved too as organisers will be asking people to use Facebook to make all manner of smelly suggestions!

The unique “Breathe Happy Moment” experiment’s aiming to create an environment that will smell as bad as it looks. Such an unpleasant stint of odour experience expects to attract a wealth of interest from the general public– through intrigue rather than envy! With anyone, anywhere able to feed their task suggestions, people are being encouraged to watch the experiment live on line. The grand stink off will take place in the new Westfield Stratford shopping Centre from the 26th October… but what will be the end to all this smelliness?

. Introduction:

This week sees one of the most bizarre interactive experiments ever to be brought to our viewing pleasure; either in the flesh or broadcast live online. A man is to be locked in a room-sized Perspex box for four days and ordered to perform a range of tasks to create the smelliest environment possible! Bizarre? Entirely. But the “Breathe Happy Moment” experiment aims to create something that smells as bad as it looks - and you’re all invited to send in your own suggested challenges.

To get your brains engaged, new research has revealed dirty nappies as the smell Brits fear the most – beating smelly socks and wet dogs into second and third respectively! So what tasks can you come up with?

Joining us to discuss this further is presenter and entertainer Stephen Mulhern who will be hosting this rather unique event. He will be relaying the first hand experiences of the “man in the box” and giving the unlikely suspect challenges received from suggestions on Facebook…
