It’s A-Level results day, and we’re expecting another record breaking year for results, but what happens to the 18 year olds who can’t get in, or can’t afford, or don’t want to go to University come September?
Grades in 2011 were the highest ever – but government stats show one in seven 18 years olds are classified as NEET, that’s not in education, employment or training, which, like A-level results, is a figure that keeps going up.
So, in the midst of a double-dip recession, what are the alternatives for teenagers?
