New research has revealed that stressful commutes and office pressures mean women are losing their neat and tidy appearance just 2 hours and 22 minutes after closing the front door! In fact, half of women are actually feeling disheveled and low about their appearance by lunchtime.

A distinct inconsistency between gender opinions has been revealed when it comes to self appearance with 40% of males having no qualms whatsoever about their image. Claiming they ‘look good throughout the whole day’ our not-so charming colleagues also confess their female counterparts look much worse as the day wears on.

With the majority of women having left the house by 7:40am most are dedicating less than five minutes to putting makeup on and deciding what to wear – and 43% reckon that by the time they get home again, they look like a different woman. So with lots of demands placed on women at work and the prospect of domestic duties to finish off when they get home, are women neglecting themselves and feeling their overall appearances are suffering as a result?

Overworked, overstressed and guilty seem to be three emotions that ring true in the minds of the modern day woman. Spending less than 5 minutes a day getting ready and feeling too bogged down at work to care about there appearance women are being pushed to the limit, constantly seeking the perfect work-life balance.

But why, when men admit to feeling under no such pressure, are women suffering the strain and serving to neglect nothing else but themselves?
