Katie Piper Backs Teens as They Are Coined 'Charity Champions'

Busier lives and stretched by the pressures of modern work – however research confirms today that almost nine in ten young people would commit to volunteering (85%) compared to just three quarters of their parents (75%).

Dubbed as ‘charity champions’ a new report has uncovered a vast disparity between Britain’s youth and the older generation when it comes to helping the local community with over a third of young people having volunteered recently (38%) compared to just a quarter of older adults (26%).

So perhaps its time to flip the tables and let the youths lead the way, as nearly four in ten older adults agree that work (37%), fear of commitment (8%) and lack of time (26%) prevents them from getting involved in volunteering, whilst over a third of Brits (36%) are holding off until they retire.
