. Introduction:

Brits work some of the longest days in Europe and on top of this the average commute is now 54 minutes every day which equates to 26 working days every year creating a distorted work-leisure dichotomy.

Research reveals that 28% of the population find travelling to work their biggest waste of time and 33% stated that their commute is getting longer and more stressful.

46% of people say they have less free time than in previous years and with longer working hours there is a growing trend for what experts call ‘Dichotomic Dovetailing’ where work and leisure activities are conducted at exactly the same time.
