  News Hooks:

The quadruple bank holiday is fast approaching and roads are expected to be busier than ever. 90% of those planning a trip across the Easter and Royal Wedding weekends expect to travel by road, with 62% of Brits going away to visit family and friends and one in five holidaying in the UK over the Easter break.

Many motorists will take advantage of the 10 day break and 81% of those travelling by road plan to travel more than 50 miles, with one in ten expecting to travel more than 500 miles. Moreover, tens of thousands are expected to travel down to London for the ‘Big Day’ on April 29th.

However, many Brits won’t use their car until after the break and as a result experts predict that there will be a steep increase in the number of Brits breaking down after the long weekends. Motoring organisation Green Flag predicts that the number of car breakdown call outs will rise by 45% after the Easter weekend and 44% after the Royal Wedding. So heading back to work on the Tuesday could cause havoc for many commuters.
