  News Hooks:

New research reveals that on average Britons spend more than an hour and a half travelling each day, with delays on public transport (31%) and road works/traffic (50%) being named as two of the biggest time wasters.

This research commissioned by Europcar also reveals that Brits feeling stressed (37%), unhealthy (29%) and overworked (17%) most of the time, 92% feel that they would benefit from an extra hour each day. 70% would prefer an extra hour on a weekday and a third admit that an extra hour on a weekday evening would be beneficial. 30% claim they are too busy most of the time and only 11% feel healthy most of the time.

Over half (56%) could do with more time for themselves during the week and on average 46% feel they don’t have time for exercise. However, even though over a third admit they would start or do more exercise if they were given an extra hour in their day, only 14% would use their extra hour to go the gym. A third would, however, use the extra hour for a lie in.
