This World Travel Week research reveals the attitudes of the UK population when choosing holidays. The research has revealed that a third of people think that tourism normally has a negative impact on the local environments they visit and as such, three quarters of consumers would find it useful to have information on the impact of their holiday. Many Brits want to avoid destinations where there are other UK holiday makers and as a result are looking to sustainable tourism for more secluded resorts. This trend is demanding responsible tourism to reduce any detrimental effect to isolated locations with fragile habitats.
So how can Brits ensure they travel to these fragile destinations responsibly?
