. Introduction:

More of us may now find ourselves single at a later stage of life but they don’t appear to be letting their age taint their desire to find love. Whilst two thirds admit that getting back into dating at a later age is daunting, they don’t feel alone anymore with more than 90% of over 50s believing there are now more people of their own age now on the dating scene. The vast majority of older ‘singles’ also feel that the internet has made dating more accessible too. However, there are some aspects of dating that remain traditional as 80% of men still expect to pay for activities on a first date and they may well be rewarded with 70% of women saying they’d kiss on their first meeting.
