New research has shown that the majority of people are investing in cash ISAs as they don't know about the alternatives - but consumers could be seeing much greater returns if they took a bit of a risk and put their money into a stocks and shares ISA.

The stock market has historically out performed cash - and also has a higher limit. It's not for everyone, but there's no harm in making yourself aware of all the options when looking for a last minute investment.
