GPs Under Fire For Over-Prescribing Antidepressants

As we approach Depression Awareness Week, attention is focused on the inconsistencies between the number of depression sufferers across the UK and the staggering number of prescriptions being given out by GPs.
Concerns have been raised that that Doctors have become far too reliant on such an easy way of dealing with their patients and other, more natural options are being sidelined. Despite many sufferers finding them much more effective as a suppliment in order to cope with their illness.
And someone who knows this better than anyone is Helen McNallen, who suffered with clinic depression and Dr Nina Bailey, a nutrition Scientist from Igennus.
