There's plenty of opportunity out there for growing companies to find investment, and perhaps looking to sources other than simply the big banks is the way forward.

Don't be put off by the current financial climate, fascinatingly, many of the biggest names around started up during a recession - including global giant Microsoft!

Research collated by the Angel Investment Network has also revealed that one in ten businesses say 'they've never been in better shape'- so perhaps the outlook isn't so gloomy after all!
